At 09:00 AM, you will depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve, making a scenic stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to admire the breathtaking escarpment. The journey continues towards Narok Town, where you will have lunch before proceeding to Masai Mara. Spend a full day exploring the incredible wildlife and vast savannah of the Masai Mara. The reserve is famous for its dense population of wildlife, including the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. You will have the opportunity to witness large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes, as well as various bird species. Following breakfast at the lodge, you will depart for Kampala by bus, a journey that takes approximately five hours. You will pass through stunning landscapes as you travel to Uganda’s capital city. Upon arrival in Kampala, you will arrange your own accommodation for the night, giving you time to relax or explore the city at your leisure.
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel at 6:30 AM, beginning your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, you will stop at the Equator for breakfast and photos, before proceeding to Mbarara for lunch. The scenic drive takes approximately 10 hours, offering beautiful views of rolling hills, forests, and rural landscapes. You will arrive in Bwindi in the evening and check into Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay (Full board).
After an early breakfast, you will prepare for one of the most thrilling experiences in the world—gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The adventure begins at 7:30 AM with a briefing on trekking rules and safety. Ensure you have a rain jacket, snacks, drinking water, and jungle boots. The trek to find a habituated gorilla family can take anywhere from 2 to 10 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once you find them, you will spend an unforgettable hour observing their behavior. In the evening, you may opt for a cultural experience with the Batwa community for an additional $40 per person. After breakfast, you will begin your return journey to Kampala, a drive that takes approximately 8-9 hours. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views and make stops for meals and refreshments.
